Recent changes to Missouri University of Science and Technology’s web presence are part of an initiative to more effectively market the university on the web. The first phase of this initiative includes the website’s gateway (home page) and several departmental and second-level pages, as well as unified branding of the university’s official social media presence.

Promoting featured stories on the Missouri S&T gateway strengthens the university’s brand by prominently communicating key achievements and experiences of the campus community.

In addition, a new header and footer have been applied to all standard web pages in order to more clearly express the university name, provide consistent navigation and offer additional ways to connect to the university through the experiences of current students, faculty and alumni.

Changes in the university’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) are mostly visual in order to reflect the university website’s new look. However, content on these social media accounts will also begin to be more closely connected to the stories now being presented on the gateway and in the global footer.

Missouri S&T’s electronic marketing communications staff looks forward to working with university web content authors during phase two and appreciate the support this project has received from across campus.

We welcome your feedback. Please contact webmaster@mst.edu with questions, concerns or comments about these changes.
