Commencement at S&T is Dec. 18

Commencement ceremonies at Missouri University of Science and Technology are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, 10th Street and Bishop Ave., Rolla. More than 600 students will receive degrees.

Celebrate a genuine Irish Christmas Dec. 17

The Three Irish Tenors are bringing their vocal harmonies to Missouri University of Science and Technology with “Christmas from Dublin.” The group will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. The performance is part of Missouri S&T’s 2010-11 Campus Performing Arts Series.

New Chinese campus joins S&T in transfer program

Representatives from the China University of Petroleum, Beijing (CUPB) visited Missouri University of Science and Technology on Nov. 30 to discuss opportunities for collaboration. Last year the Chinese university’s Huadong campus began a partnership with the university, the first American partnership for CUP.

Last chance in 2010 to view the skies through S&T’s telescope

The public is invited to the final opportunity this semester to view the moon and Jupiter through Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 16-inch telescope. Weather permitting, the Missouri S&T Observatory will open its doors at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10.
