Missouri University of Science and Technology will host an open forum with Missouri Department of Natural Resources representatives to discuss environment, energy and natural resources issues at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, in Room 124 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. The forum is sponsored by Missouri S&T’s Environmental Research Center.
The state faces many challenges related to water quality, energy demands and concerns, natural resource management and water resources. Missouri DNR leaders are visiting the campus to explore how Missouri S&T can help meet these challenges. The public is invited to join in the discussion and learn how DNR leaders are current working to address these issues, and about their future plans.
The following representatives from the DNR will be present at the forum: Bill Bryan, deputy director and director of the Division of State Parks; Dru Buntin, deputy director for policy; Joe Gillman, state geologist and director of the Division of Geology and Land Survey; and Joe Engeln, assistant director for science and technology.
