More than 180 employers will be recruiting students from Missouri University of Science and Technology during S&T’s fall career fair Tuesday, Sept. 21.

According to Lea-Ann Morton, director of the university’s Career Opportunities Center, the number of employers represented is slightly higher than last fall’s total. “We have already experienced a 10 percent increase in the number of on-campus interviews scheduled compared to this time last year,” Morton says.

The average starting salary for a Missouri S&T graduate is $57,300. That figure is the second-highest among all universities in the Midwest.

The career fair will take place at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, 10th Street and Bishop Avenue, Rolla. The fair will be open to students and alumni from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, faculty and staff are invited to attend during special sessions from 8-10:30 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.
