Rahaman named fellow of ceramic society
Dr. Mohamed “Len” N. Rahaman, professor of materials science and engineering and director of the Center for Bone and Tissue Repair and Regeneration at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been named a fellow by the American Ceramic Society. He will be officially recognized as a fellow during a society banquet to be held in Houston in October.

Annual shrimp feed scheduled for Aug. 28
The Central Ozarks Section of the Miner Alumni Association at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the Rolla Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) will hold their annual shrimp feed on Saturday, Aug. 28, at pavilion 5 of Lions Club Park on U.S. Highway 63 in Rolla. Pavilion 5 is located at the front of the park. The event begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m.
