Missouri S&T hosts GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Missouri S&T will serve as the host for the 2010 Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend, with the Miners seeking to repeat as the conference champions after posting a one-point win over Indianapolis at last year’s meet.
The Miners will enter the conference meet as the only team in the GLVC currently in the USTFCCCA national rankings – S&T is at No. 19 this week – while the women’s meet will feature three teams ranked among the top eight in the Midwest region in Lewis (fourth), Indianapolis (seventh) and Missouri S&T (eighth).
This weekend’s meet will be held at Allgood-Bailey Stadium and begins at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday with the multi-event competition. The open events will begin at 2 p.m. each day and admission will be free to all fans. Visit the S&T Sports website for more details and for the full story.
