Rolla Earth Day 2010 will be celebrated on Thursday, April 22, at Missouri University of Science and Technology. This year’s theme is “Be Green! Keep the Planet Clean.”
Approximately 1,000 area school kids are expected to participate in this year’s activities. The event is open to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T campus, rain or shine.
This year’s celebration will feature live music and a fashion show featuring clothing made from recycled materials. Children’s activities will include art projects, face painting, flower planting, recycling games, tie dying and a reading circle. There will also be informational exhibits, free tree saplings (while supplies last) and Earth Day T-shirts for sale.

The Solar Village is located at the corner of 10th and Poole streets, across from the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. S&T’s hydrogen fueling station is located at the E-cubed Commons on the north side of I-44 at exit 185, across from Collegiate Station student housing on Collegiate Boulevard.
