A favorite Broadway musical “Bye Bye Birdie” will be performed at Missouri S&T at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21. The concert will be held in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall.
Tickets are $28 for adults and $18 for youth and student tickets and are available at the Leach Theatre Box Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. They may also be purchased with a credit card by phone at 341-4219 or online at leachtheatre.mst.edu.
Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, “Bye Bye Birdie” tells the story of teenage heartthrob Conrad Birdie’s draft into the armed forces and a contest for a farewell kiss from him live on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” The show has many laughs and great songs, including “Put On A Happy Face,” “A Lot of Livin’ To Do,” “One Last Kiss,” and the riotous lament of parents with teenagers “What’s The Matter With Kids Today?”
In the event that tickets remain for the concert, Leach Theatre will offer discounted tickets through its “Back Row Club,” one hour prior to the event. The seats in the last row of the theater will be sold one hour before the event for $10 each.
