The theme for Homecoming 2008 is “Arabian Nights.” Most activities are open to the public. The following is a schedule of events:

Friday, Oct. 17
— Registration, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Alumni Lounge, 107 Castleman Hall
— Coffee and conversation with Missouri S&T Magazine staff, 1-3 p.m., Havener Center
— Open house and tours of Toomey Hall, 2:30 p.m. (dedication postponed)
— Silver and Gold Alumni Block Party, 4-8 p.m., Alumni Lounge/Patio, 107 Castleman Hall, barbeque buffet, drinks $1, meet department chairs, faculty and student design teams, tickets required.

Saturday, Oct. 18
— Registration, 9-10:30 a.m., Alumni Lounge, 107 Castleman Hall
— Registration, 10:45 a.m., alumni tent outside Allgood-Bailey Stadium
— Kick-Off Tailgate Party, 11 a.m., Allgood-Bailey Stadium, tickets required
— Football game, Miners vs. Kentucky Wesleyan, 1 p.m., Allgood-Bailey Stadium, tickets required
— Miner Alumni Awards Banquet, 5:45-9 p.m., Miner Lounge, Havener Center, tickets required.

Sunday, Oct. 19
— Missouri S&T Advisory Committee for African-American Recruitment and Retention meeting, 1 p.m., Havener Center.

Monday, Oct. 20
— Remmers Special Artist/Lecturer Series presenting F.W. de Klerk, Nobel Peace prize winner and former South African president, 7 p.m., Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, tickets required.
