Members of the solar car team from Missouri University of Science and Technology plan to discuss their experiences in the 2008 North America Solar Challenge during two public events this week on the campus of Missouri S&T.
Team members will display their car, Solar Miner VI, outside the entrance to the Havener Center at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24. In addition to talking about last July’s solar car race from Texas to Alberta, Canada, students will discuss solar technology, vehicle design and construction. The group will also recognize the roles key sponsors, including the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources, play in supporting the team’s ambitious endeavors.
Team members will also display Solar Miner VI and hold a question-and-answer session for the public at noon on Thursday, Sept. 25, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center.
