S&T professor receives ASEE service award

Dr. Stephen A. Raper, associate professor of engineering management and
systems engineering, received the Merl Baker Award from the American Society
for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) Engineering Management Division.

The award recognizes exemplary service to the engineering management
discipline and is named after the former Missouri S&T chancellor who was
instrumental in founding S&T’s engineering management department and the
field of engineering management.

Raper holds bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees in engineering management
from Missouri S&T. He joined the Missouri S&T staff in 2004 and
currently teaches operations and production management, packaging machinery,
packaging management, statistical process control and advanced production
management.
