The fourth annual Undergraduate Research Conference at Missouri University
of Science and Technology will be held Wednesday, April 9, in the Havener
Center on campus. This year, 64 Missouri S&T students will present their
research efforts during oral and poster sessions. All sessions are open to the
public.
Oral presentations and poster sessions will be judged in the morning and
afternoon. A keynote luncheon will be held at noon in St. Pat’s Ballroom C of
the Havener Center. Dr. Jorge A. Ochoa, vice president of research and
development and chief technology officer of Archus Orthopedics Inc., will give
the keynote address.
As part of the conference, special exhibits on the environment will be on
display from 3-4 p.m. in St. Pat’s Ballroom A. This Green Campus Showcase will
feature exhibits on hydrogen power, plug-in electric vehicles, the conversion
of livestock waste into biogas and electricity, and the use of plants to clean
the environment.
A student awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. in St. Pat’s Ballroom
B.
