Students receive scholarships from Academy of Mines and Metallurgy

Seven students from Missouri University of Science and Technology were
honored for their scholarship by the university’s Academy of Mines and
Metallurgy during a ceremony on campus April
17.         

Each of these Academy Scholars received a $500 cash award and a watch:

— Julie Baumann, a senior in ceramic engineering from St. Louis

— Matthew Bower, a senior in petroleum engineering from Edwardsville,
Ill.

— Jeffery Joggerst, a senior in nuclear engineering from Rolla

— Kyle Rackers, a senior in metallurgical engineering from Jefferson City,
Mo.

— Kyle Rybacki, a senior in geology and geophysics from Nashville, Ill.

— Tanya Stephan, a senior in mining engineering from St. Joseph, Mo.

— Kyle Te, a senior in geological engineering from
Rolla.        

The Missouri S&T Academy of Mines and Metallurgy, founded in 1995, is an
advisory group to several departments on campus. Members include alumni and
others who have made outstanding contributions to their
profession.
