Missouri University of Science and Technology’s theatre program will present
an old-time melodrama titled “Wicked Work at Widow Wilkins’
Wanch…eh…Ranch,” or “The Odious Ozark Ordeal,” April 10-13 at Leach Theatre
in Castleman Hall.
Step back in time to the kind of joyful, campy musical comedy that once was
performed on showboats steaming down the Mississippi River 150 years ago. The
audience is invited to cheer for the hero and boo the villain before the
dastardly cur can kidnap the fair heroine. There also will be musical
song-and-dance numbers and comedy sketches.
Missouri S&T’s theatre program invites audience to leave their troubles
at the door, come inside and laugh at this G-rated show that is fun for the
whole family. “Wicked Work at Wilkins’ Wanch…eh…Ranch,” or “The Odious
Ozark Ordeal” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, Friday, April
11, and Saturday, April 12, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Missouri
S&T’s Leach Threatre in Castleman Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7
for Missouri S&T students. Reserved seats are available at the Leach
Theatre Box Office inside Castleman Hall or by calling 573-341-4219.
