The Missouri University of Science and Technology physics department is
sponsoring the final Visitors’ Night for the spring 2008 semester at the
Missouri S&T Observatory.
The final Visitors’ Night will be held at 9 p.m. Friday, April 11, during
which the moon, Mars and Saturn should be visible.
“Visitors’ Nights are scheduled for the first quarter moon and we also view
whatever planets or other bright objects that are in the night sky at that time
and date,” says Dr. John L. Schmitt, Missouri S&T associate professor of
physics.
Viewing is free of charge and no reservations are required, however, it is
subject to the weather.
The Missouri S&T Observatory is located north of McNutt Hall and near
St. Patrick’s Lane on the Missouri S&T campus.
