UMR students nominated for Homecoming Queen

University of Missouri-Rolla student
organizations have nominated 11 students to compete for the title of 2007
Homecoming
Queen.         

The winner is chosen after interviews and a
campuswide election held the week prior to Homecoming, which is on the weekend
of Oct. 20-21.         

The queen and king, and the runners-up, will
be announced during halftime ceremonies of UMR’s Homecoming football game on
Saturday, Oct. 20. The game, which features UMR and Central State (Ohio),
starts at 1 p.m.

The queen candidates
are:         

— Jennifer Bower, a freshman in biological
sciences from Monett, Mo., nominated by Residence Hall Association

— Morgan Goldammer, a sophomore in chemical
engineering from Chesterfield, Mo., nominated by Beta Sigma Psi

— Beth Groenke, a senior in interdisciplinary
engineering from Gerald, Mo., nominated by Pi Kappa Alpha

— Erin Hayden, a senior in chemical
engineering from San Antonio, Texas, nominated by Lambda Sigma Pi

— Crystal Jackson, a sophomore in mechanical
engineering from Florissant, Mo., nominated by Alpha Phi Alpha

— Kelly McCoy, a senior in electrical
engineering from Lebanon, Mo., nominated by Kappa Alpha

— Margaret Meyer, a freshman in biological
sciences from St. Louis, nominated by Quadrangle Hall Association

— Dianna Meyers, a senior in ceramic
engineering from Blue Springs, Mo., nominated by Chi Omega

— Suzi Schroer, a junior in nuclear
engineering from Jefferson City, Mo., nominated by Student Council

— Heather Siscel, a senior in electrical
engineering from St. Louis, nominated by Zeta Tau
Alpha               

— Chelsea Ware, a senior in nuclear
engineering from Joplin, Mo., nominated by Thomas Jefferson Hall
