Groenke, Kirby are Homecoming royalty at UMR

The University of Missouri-Rolla named its
2007 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime ceremonies of UMR’s Oct. 20
football game against Central State
(Ohio).         

Beth Groenke, a senior in interdisciplinary
engineering from Gerald, Mo., is UMR’s 2007 Homecoming Queen. Will Kirby, a
senior in architectural engineering from Elkhorn, Neb., is UMR’s 2007
Homecoming
King.         

Candidates were nominated by student
organizations at UMR. Groenke and Kirby were both nominated by Pi Kappa Alpha.
Winners are chosen after interviews and a campuswide election held the week
prior to Homecoming.
