Garmin Day at the University of Missouri-Rolla will be Wednesday, Sept. 12. One of the largest employers of UMR graduates, Garmin designs, manufactures and markets navigation and communication equipment for the aviation industry and consumer markets.
The event at UMR will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 12 on the lawn between Toomey Hall and Parker Hall. Free Garmin equipment will be given away to students every hour.
Representatives from Garmin will be on hand to meet with students and take resumes. Electrical and computer engineering majors are most sought after. For more information, contact the UMR Career Opportunities Center at 573-341-4343.
