UMR students, faculty, staff to hold memorial service

University of Missouri-Rolla faculty, staff and students will host a memorial service in response to the tragic events that took place on the Virginia Tech campus on April 16.
The service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, on the Havener Center plaza at the northeast side of the building. The Rolla community is invited to attend.
The service, expected to last 30 minutes, will include comments from UMR Chancellor John F. Carney III, UMR Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Debra Robinson and UMR Student Council President Lauren Huchingson, as well as representatives of the UMR faculty and the Campus Ministry Association and other campus leaders.
Student Council will hand out memorial pins in the Virginia Tech school colors of maroon and orange at the Havener Center on Wednesday.
