Two UMR orchestras to perform April 19

The University Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra at the University of Missouri-Rolla will host their final concert of the semester at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Leach Theatre of UMR’s Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
The performance is free for all students and youths under the age of 18. Tickets are $3 for the general public and are available at the door and at the Leach Theatre Box Office.
The concert will feature music by Beethoven, Mozart and Vaughan Williams. A special guest soloist will perform an oboe concerto by Albinoni.
“The groups have enjoyed putting the music together for this special concert,” says Dr. Donald Miller, conductor of the groups and assistant professor of music at UMR.
