Rock bands Shinedown and Trapt will take the stage in Rolla, Mo., March 17 as part of the St. Pat’s celebration at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The band Modern Day Zero will be the opening act.
The concert will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, located at the corner of 10th Street and Bishop Avenue on the UMR campus in Rolla.
Tickets go on sale to students only on Monday, Feb. 12. Students may buy student and general public tickets starting Wednesday, Feb. 14. Beginning Friday, Feb. 16, tickets will be made available to the general public. Student tickets are $10 and tickets for the general public are $20.

Shinedown, a hard rock band out of Jacksonville, Fla., released their platinum-selling debut album, “Leave a Whisper” in 2003. Their most recent album, “Us and Them,” was released in 2005. The group was a finalist for Modern Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Artist of the Year for the 2006 Billboard Music Awards.
Inspired by heavy rock bands like Korn, Soundgarden and Metallica, Trapt released their self-titled debut album in 2004 and followed it up with “Someone in Control” in 2005.
The concert, which is part of UMR’s annual St. Pat’s celebration, is sponsored by the UMR St. Pat’s Celebration Committee and the UMR Student Union Board.
