The University of Missouri-Rolla Student Union Board (SUB) will present the SUB Big Comedy Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in St. Pat’s Ballroom at the Havener Center on the UMR campus in Rolla. Advance tickets are $3 for students and $8 for the general public, and can be purchased at El Maguey Mexican Restaurant in Rolla and at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in Castleman Hall on the UMR campus. Tickets can also be purchased at the door, where they will cost $5 for students and $10 for the general public. For ticket information, call 573-341-4219.

Comedian Pablo Francisco, who has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and FOX’s animated feature “Family Guy,” will headline the event. A regular stand-up comedian on Comedy Central, Franciso is also known for his work as a cast member on “MadTV.”

Actor and comedian Geoff Keith will open the show. In 2005, Keith competed against 60 other comics to win the Orange County (Calif.) Funniest Person Contest.

The SUB comedy committee is a group of UMR students who volunteer their time to bring cutting-edge entertainment to Rolla. Previous SUB-sponsored comedy shows include performances by Adam Sandler, Frederick Winters, and improvisational comedy troupe Second City.
