The University of Missouri-Rolla Free Fall Film Festival will feature a screening of the Free Form Film Festival at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. Ryan Wylie, curator of the film collection, will be on hand to discuss the eclectic assortment of film and video. Admission is free.

"The Free Form Festival offers an eclectic group of challenging shorts, including new work from Rolla locals Wylie and Tyrone Davies. This program of shorts has been screened in more than 30 cities across North America and now we are proud to bring it back home to Rolla," says Dr. James J. Bogan, Curators’ Teaching Professor of art history and film at UMR.

The festival will feature the public premier of one experimental short, "Dimensionality." Directed by Wylie, this experimental installation glimpses at a world between worlds.

"Although the Free Form Film Festival is ambitious in both miles travelled and in concept, their philosophy is rooted in the right place, especially for those who are sick of commercial film schlock," Bogan says.
