Original artwork and photography by local artists will be on display at the Havener Center on the campus of the University of Missouri-Rolla throughout homecoming weekend at UMR, Oct. 20-22.

Members of Arts Rolla! are helping to organize the event. “Arts Rolla! is delighted to be a part of UMR’s homecoming, and to showcase the talents of our artists,” says Loretta Wallis, president of Arts Rolla!. “The artwork and photography will represent some of the area’s best.”

The general public is invited to attend a cash bar reception honoring the artists from 5-6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, in the Miner Lounge of the Havener Center. Complimentary wine, however, will be served from 5-5:30 p.m.

Only works that have earned high marks from judges will be included in the Havener Center display, which is being underwritten by Phelps County Bank. For more information about the event, call 573-364-5539.
