The University of Missouri-Rolla will hold the first Fall Open House of the 2006-2007 season for prospective students on Saturday, Sept. 30. This year’s activities will include a spotlight showcase on the UMR College of Arts and Sciences, the UMR School of Management and Information Systems and the UMR School of Engineering.
The UMR Fall Open House is a chance for prospective UMR students and their parents, teachers and counselors to visit campus. During the day, participants will see many facets of UMR’s campus life, and will meet with faculty, staff and students, tour campus, and take part in laboratory exhibits and demonstrations.
Open House registration will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. in the foyer of the Havener Center on the UMR Campus. A welcome and opening presentation will be held at 10 a.m. in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, followed by presentations on financial aid and career opportunities and a UMR student panel.
Departmental visits will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Lunch will be available at 12:45 p.m. at various locations across campus. Campus and residential life tours will be available from 1-3 p.m., leaving from the lobby of Parker Hall.
