Explore business opportunities through federal government, UMR

The Office of Technology Commercialization and Economic Development at the University of Missouri-Rolla and the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers are sponsoring a seminar on contracting and grant opportunities through the federal government from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at St. Robert Municipal Center, 194 East Lawn Ave., St. Robert, Mo.                 

The seminar includes comments from U.S. Rep. Ike Skelton and a presentation by Rear Adm. Martin Brown via satellite. Among the topics discussed will be Fort Leonard Wood contracting opportunities, research and licensing opportunities through UMR, funding through federal programs, small business loan programs, and opportunities for veterans.          

The general public is invited. The seminar fee is $39. A continental breakfast and luncheon buffet will be provided by the culinary arts department at Waynesville Technical Academy.
