The 10th annual Piano Bash at the University of Missouri-Rolla will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 21, in Room 138 Castleman Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The Piano Bash is the final project for UMR piano students. Some of the pieces to be performed include “Bob’s Blues,” “Smokey Mountain Reel” and “Alla Tarantella.”

“If you never been to one of the bashes, you are in for a treat,” says Lorie Francis, a lecturer in the arts, language and philosophy department at UMR and piano instructor. “The performance features as many as 18 students playing six pianos at the same time.”

For more information, contact Francis at lorief@mst.edu or call the UMR performing arts office at (573) 341-4185.
