Constructed a year before the Wright Brothers made their historic flight, the UMR Mechanical Engineering Annex is being razed to make way for the first phase of a $27.6 million expansion project and you can watch its progress.

Thanks to a live webcam on Fulton Hall looking west and another on Harris Hall looking northeast, you don’t have to be on campus to keep track of the project.

The new Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Complex will be named Toomey Hall after UMR graduate John Toomey and his wife, Mary, who gave $5 million toward the project. The complex will feature state-of-the-art learning centers, laboratories and computer facilities.
