The University of Missouri-Rolla physics department will host a Visitors’ Night at UMR’s astronomical observatory at 8 p.m. Friday, March 3. The public is invited to view the moon, Mars and Saturn through the observatory’s 16-inch telescope.
There is no admission charge and no reservations are required. Viewing is subject to weather conditions. The observatory is located on the UMR campus adjacent to the Stonehenge replica near Highway 63 North, north of V.H. McNutt Hall and west of St. Patrick’s Lane.
The next Visitors’ Night is scheduled for 9 p.m. Friday, April 7.
