The Symphony Band and Symphonic Wind ensembles at the University of Missouri-Rolla will perform in concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
Admission is free for UMR students and $3 for the general public. Tickets are available at the door and at the Leach Theatre Box Office.
The Symphony Band will perform several pieces including “English Folk Songs” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Ginger Marmalade” by Warren Benson, “Toccata for Band” by Frank Erickson, “Mini-Suite” by Morton Gould and “A Movement for Rosa,” a tribute to Rosa Parks and all civil rights activists, composed by Mark Camphouse.
The Symphonic Winds will perform “Night Flight March” by K.I. King, “American Overture” by Joseph Willcox Jenkins and “Sleep” by Eric Whitacre.
