The 2005-2006 season of the University of Missouri-Rolla Campus Performing Arts Series continues in March with a performance of “From Belle to Broadway” presented by Paige O’Hara and Michael Piontek.

The performance will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, March 10, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets on the UMR campus. Admission is $28 for adults and $18 for youth.

“From Belle to Broadway” is fast-paced musical entertainment that is full of familiar favorites. Paige O’Hara is best known as the voice of Belle in the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, but her career has spanned Broadway, opera, and concert stages and recordings.

Directed by Lee Roy Reams, this revue also features O’Hara’s real-life husband Michael Piontek, best known from his performance as Raoul in Los Angeles’ Phantom of the Opera. The two flirt and jest their way through a varied program that includes Disney Classics, a salute to Judy Garland, Broadway Medleys, and of course, Beauty and the Beast.

This season of the UMR Campus Performing Arts Series will conclude with a performance by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23. Now in its 125th season, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra continues to build upon its reputation for musical excellence with Scott Parkman conducting.
