The 2005-2006 season of the School Outreach performances at the University of Missouri-Rolla will continue with “Amelia Earhart” at 9:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.
The performances, presented by the Seem-to-be-Players, will be held at Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Admission is $3 per student.
“Amelia Earhart,” a one-hour play with music, tells the exciting story of one woman’s quest to explore the unknown, face unbelievable risks and have great adventures. A live cellist creates the illusion of the sound of airplanes, which gives the performance the feel of an old-time radio show. Airplanes appear in the performance both on stage and as hand-held puppet props.
“Amelia Earhart” is recommended for fourth- through eighth-grade students.
