The University of Missouri-Rolla choir will host its annual holiday concert, “Music Around the World,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. The performance is free and open to the public.

The tribute will include pieces from around the world, including “Carol of the Bells” from the Ukraine, “Kalinka” from Russia, and “Rio, Rio Chio” from Spain. Refreshments will be provided after the concert in Room 138 of Castleman Hall. Donations will be accepted.

The University Choir is a non-audition choir open to students, faculty and community singers. The choir presents two full concerts each semester, along with several other performances in the Rolla area. The group is led by Lorie Francis, a lecturer in arts, languages and philosophy at UMR.
