UMR police director honored for military support

Bill Bleckman director of university police at UMR was awarded the "Patriotic Employer" award by The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve on May 18.

Glenn Kiesewetter, UMR ROTC, presented the award from the U.S. National Guard and Reserve Force; and Leonard Cook, a member of UMR police.

Bleckman was recognized for supporting Staff Sgt. Shawn M. Wright, a member of UMR police, for Wright’s participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. Bleckman is honored for "contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force."
