UMR plans to get more girls interested in science and technology
Girls in grades seven through 10 will visit the campus of the University of Missouri-Rolla this summer to make shoes they can wear out of paper and build motorized Lego vehicles. It’s all part of an attempt to encourage more female students to pursue degrees and careers in engineering and the sciences.
