Twenty-one students from Missouri University of Science and Technology will bring sustainable, clean water to portions of rural Bolivia this summer. Their goal goes beyond quenching thirsts; for these students, it’s about saving lives. In Bolivia, a lack of clean water contributes to the death of every tenth child before the age of 5.
Three students from the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders at Missouri University of Science and Technology will leave Feb. 24 to continue their partnership with the community of Los Eucaliptos, a rural subdivision located in Erquis Sud, Bolivia.
More than 50 faculty members will showcase their talents at a fundraiser for the Missouri S&T chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB). The show will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $5 and $10 for general admission; VIP seating is available for $25.
