Former dean awarded ABET’s highest honor

Dr. Lee W. Saperstein, professor of mining engineering and dean emeritus of the School of Mines and Metallurgy at the University of Missouri-Rolla, has received the Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award from ABET, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The Grinter Award is ABET’s highest honor.

UMR student tests low-cost software for small-plane simulation

University of Missouri-Rolla student Peter Cross is investigating applications of normal aircraft simulation software for use with non-commercial aircraft to see how accurately he can simulate flights on a much smaller scale than normal.
