Michelle Marincel and Brian Payne are helping to blaze a better trail along the Continental Divide. The two University of Missouri-Rolla students are participating in Backpacker Magazine’s effort to make a definitive map of the Continental Divide Trail, which runs 3,100 miles from Mexico to Canada.

Annual shrimp feed planned

The Central Ozarks Section of the MSM-UMR Alumni Association and the Rolla Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers will hold its annual shrimp feed on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Lions’ Club Park on U.S. Highway 63 in Rolla. A social hour begins at 4 p.m. followed by dinner at 5 p.m.
