Celebrate Earth Day at S&T April 20
The 11th annual Rolla Earth Day celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Missouri University of Science and Technology. This free event is open to the public and will be held inside and on the lawn of the university’s Havener Center, rain or shine.

Legendary comedian and impressionist Rich Little will bring his play “Jimmy Stewart & Friends” to Missouri University of Science and Technology this month. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Missouri S&T’s Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla.

Dr. Starnes E. Walker, chief technology officer and technical director for the Fleet Cyber Command and the 10th Fleet of the U.S. Navy, will speak at Missouri University of Science and Technology as part of the university’s Distinguished Research Seminar Series next week. He will present “Navigating Cyberspace Operations: Challenges and Opportunities in a Global Domain” at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in Room 103 Engineering Management Building on Missouri S&T’s campus. Dr. Bruce Rittmann, an international leader in assessing microbial communities, spends his time motivating his “many little friends” to do what he wants through engineering and biotechnology applications. In an upcoming lecture at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rittmann will discuss ways his interdisciplinary research is improving conditions around the world and leading to new ways to clean up pollution, treat water and wastewater, capture renewable energy and improve human health.
