Missouri S&T commencement speakers announced
Nearly 700 Missouri S&T students will be awarded degrees during three upcoming commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 15, and Saturday, Dec. 16. Dr. Frederick K. Baganoff will speak at the Dec. 15 ceremony for Ph.D. graduates. Thomas Sonderman will speak at both Dec. 16 ceremonies.

S&T to honor nearly 700 graduates at fall commencement ceremonies
Missouri University of Science and Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies this fall in the Gale Bullman Building, located at 10th Street and Bishop Avenue in Rolla. Ph.D. candidates will be honored during a ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15. Bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates will be recognized during two ceremonies held at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Saturday’s ceremonies are divided by discipline.

Is secondhand smoke from vapes less toxic than from traditional cigarettes?
According to the National Youth Tobacco Survey in 2020, 33.8% of U.S. middle and high school students report that they have been exposed to secondhand e-cigarette aerosols in indoor spaces. But little is known about how inhaling the heated metals, flavorings and other chemicals in the electronic cigarettes affect health.
