S&T Human Powered Vehicle Team set to race

A group of students from Missouri University of Science and Technology are travelling 2,000 miles to race aerodynamically fitted recumbent bicycles. The Human Powered Vehicle Team will enter its vehicle, named “Colossus,” in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers 2013 Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) West Coast Competition.

Undergraduate Research Conference winners declared

The winners of the ninth annual Undergraduate Research Conference have been announced. The Missouri University of Science and Technology conference featured oral and poster exhibitions that represented almost every major. Winners received a cash prize of $750, with the second and third place finishers receiving $500 and $250 respectively.
