Missouri University of Science and Technology’s arts, languages, and philosophy department will present a holiday concert this December featuring the university jazz ensemble, orchestra and choir.

The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main Street on the Missouri S&T campus. The ensembles will be directed by Matthew Sokeland, jazz lecturer at Missouri S&T, Foster Beyers, orchestra lecturer at Missouri S&T, and Lorie Francis, teaching professor of music at Missouri S&T.

“Join the Missouri S&T choir, jazz band, and orchestra as we celebrate the holiday season and the end of classes with a holiday concert,” says Francis. “Each group will perform a short selection of holiday tunes, and we will end with a carol sing-along led by the choir and orchestra.”

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth ages 18 and under and for Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or by calling 573-341-4219.
