Missouri University of Science and Technology’s arts, languages, and philosophy department will present a wind symphony concert this November.
The performance will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main Street on the Missouri S&T campus. The university band is directed by Dr. David Samson, associate teaching professor at Missouri S&T.
“The University Wind Symphony is excited to share this program of music inspired from around the world,” says Samson. “We’ll take you on a musical journey to Russia, Japan, England and back home to America. We’ll also be sharing the stage with two of our fantastic student-led ensembles, the Movie Music Ensemble and the Saxophone Choir.”
Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth ages 18 and younger and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online or by phone. Tickets can also be purchased at the Leach Theatre Box Office starting one hour before the performance.
