Missouri S&T students will have a chance to meet with hundreds of recruiters at the Spring Career Fair this February. At last count over 280 employers have registered for the event.
The fair will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Gale Bullman Building on the Missouri S&T campus. The fair is open to Missouri S&T students and alumni seeking internships, co-ops and full-time positions.
“Whether you’re looking for a full-time position or an internship or co-op, we encourage all students to come out to the career fair and connect with employers,” says Sara Hathaway, director of career opportunities and employer relations (COER) at Missouri S&T.
According to the latest data from COER, the average starting salary for S&T graduates is approximately $77,000. Plus, Missouri S&T is the No. 3 best public university for career placement in the country, according to the Princeton Review.
Attendees should download the Career Fair Plus mobile app, where they can filter employers by major and industry and plan their route through the fair. There will not be printed maps available, so attendees should plan to bring a mobile device with the app already downloaded.
It is recommended that attendees print out copies of their resumes to give to employers, in addition to uploading their resumes to the Career Fair Plus app. COER requires attendees to adhere to a professional dress code for entry to the Career Fair; students in need of assistance can visit the Career Closet in Norwood Hall.
