Nine faculty members from Missouri S&T who are affiliated with the university’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Business (CASB) have been recognized for their positive influence on the lives of students and in the community at large. This is the first year for the slate of awards, which will be presented annually.
The 2020 award recipients were recognized at CASB’s college-wide virtual spring meeting on April 30.

The 2020 Community Outreach Award was presented to:

shared their knowledge and influence beyond the university campus.
The 2020 Student
Impact Award was presented to:
The impact award recognizes instructors whose influence was crucial to students’ personal and professional development beyond the classroom and that positively influenced students’ life trajectory, perspective or insight. For one Student Impact Award, current students were encouraged to vote for the instructor who has had the greatest positive impact on them. For the other Student Impact Award, letters of nomination were solicited from alumni.
The four new awards were facilitated and funded by the dean’s office of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business and developed by the college’s Faculty Leadership Council. All CASB-affiliated full-time ranked and non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty, instructors and adjuncts were eligible for the awards, with the exception of the Research Award, which was only available to full-time ranked and NTT faculty.
