Enrollment for the first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology was 7,710, a 5.7 percent increase from last year’s first day of spring enrollment, says Deanne Jackson, Missouri S&T registrar. This is the 13th consecutive year of enrollment increases.
The spring semester at Missouri S&T began on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Last spring, 7,296 students were enrolled on the first day of the spring semester.
“The increase in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business students, along with our continued growth in the College of Engineering and Computing, is giving us another record spring semester enrollment,” says Laura Stoll, vice provost and dean for enrollment management. “This increase follows our largest December graduating class and reflects the value of a Missouri S&T degree.”
The university will continue to enroll students through the first weeks of the spring semester. The official enrollment figures for the semester will be released after the fourth week of classes.
