Dr. Cheryl B. Schrader, the incoming chancellor of Missouri University of Science and Technology, is the subject of the cover story of the latest issue of Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine.
Schrader is featured in the magazine’s March 15 issue. The story, titled “Seeking STEM Success,” discusses her efforts to improve education in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) during her tenure at Boise State University as well as her vision for Missouri S&T.
Schrader is currently associate vice president for strategic research initiatives at Boise State University and previously served as dean of engineering for the university. She will become chancellor of Missouri S&T on April 2.
In the Diverse Issues in Higher Education article, Schrader describes her “overarching vision” for Missouri S&T as threefold: “To create and inspire a culture of innovation. To foster diversity in a global context. And to chart a bold plan advancing Missouri and the nation.”
