Geotechnical Lab Testing course offered by S&T June 15-17

A Geotechnical Lab Testing course will be offered by Missouri University of Science and Technology June 15-17, on Missouri S&T’s campus. Those who complete the course will receive 27 professional development hours. The decision date for the course is May 20.


In this three-day course, participants will learn about consolidation, shear strength and permeability testing principles. They will also learn the principles and techniques of soils testing, such as proper soil specimen handling and preparation procedures, and the techniques that eliminate and reduce critical testing errors.
The course is designed for engineers, geologists, laboratory managers and technicians who wish to improve their knowledge of geotechnical testing principles and techniques.
Instructors are Dr. Louis Ge, assistant professor of civil engineering at Missouri S&T, and Dr. Ronald Luna, professor of civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
The fee of $975 covers program materials, refreshments and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Missouri S&T reserves the right to cancel the course and return all registration fees if the minimum registration is not received by May 20.
