Cold metal tubes become warm living creatures in “The Aluminum Show,” an ingenious production that mixes dance, puppetry and illusion.
The performance, a part of the Leach Theatre Family Series at Missouri University of Science and Technology, will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo. The Leach Theatre Family Series is presented by the Missouri S&T student affairs department.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and youth. Missouri S&T students can charge their ticket to their student account. Patrons who purchase four or more tickets will receive a $2 discount on each ticket.
A cast of agile dancers bring inanimate objects to life and transform the theater into an alternative world where anything can happen. Wordless, but accompanied by a pumping original soundtrack, “The Aluminum Show” will appeal to people of all ages, languages and cultures.
Tickets are available online at leachtheatre.mst.edu/family_series/index.html, at the Leach Theatre Box Office, or by phone at 573-341-4219. All sales are final; however, tickets may be returned 24 hours prior to the performance for a tax deductible contribution to the theater.
In the event that tickets remain for the performance, Leach Theatre will also offer discounted tickets through its “Back Row Club.” The seats in the last row of the theater will be sold one hour before each event for $10 each.
