The student financial assistance office at Missouri University of Science
and Technology is hosting “College Goal Sunday” for high school juniors and
seniors from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 10. The program will help students planning on
attending a college or university in the fall with financial aid
information.
Students will learn how to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) form, which determines eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships
and student employment. Every college-bound student is eligible to take part in
the free two-hour event, which will be held in Carver-Turner room of the
Havener Center.
In addition to Missouri high school students, parents or guardians are
invited to attend. Students who may not be considering college because of
financial reasons are also encouraged to attend. Volunteers and financial aid
experts will be on hand to answer
questions.
